Five years after the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, public health faces a radically different landscape: insufficient funding, partisanship, conflicting federal and local priorities, distrust, reduced access to data, and more.
Join a discussion led by experts sharing collaborative strategies to safeguard public health while reimagining a system that is more equitable, inclusive, and responsive to communities. The conversation will explore:
- The current landscape, including threats and mistrust aimed at governmental public health
- Ideas for how healthcare organizations, governmental public health agencies, and community leaders can work together to fill gaps and maintain local autonomy
- Reimagining a public health system that is more equitable
Convened by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, The Intersection brings together people who work inside and outside of healthcare to build anti-racist health systems. It’s a place where community and justice advocates, healthcare providers, and public health experts can share their experiences, provide feedback on how to tackle challenges, and talk about what’s working.
